Well, this blog has been “active” for a little over a month now, I suppose. The first post was made on December 12, 2007. You can check it out here! The first post was made on December 12, 2007. You can check it out here! I’ve made a few posts since then. Obviously not as many as I’d like to, but I’ve had an unstable internet connection, all of which should change soon when I move into my family’s new house. By family, I do mean Mom and Dad’s but I do own 25% of the house, which is pretty good for a 22 year old.

Anyway, how has this blog been doing since it’s started? Here are a few of the statistics:

Google Pagerank = 2 - I’m actually pretty pumped about this. I’ve done pretty well I think. It’s good enough to at least get a start on becoming a major authority in this blogging niche, and I do plan on that. I’m pretty happy that a majority of the blogs in my network (perhaps even all) have a pagerank now. This should really help with advertising, as it makes all of the mentions on this blog worth even more! I haven’t changed the pricing on advertising though, so you may want to check that out!

Alexa Ranking - 1,067,921 - Not bad considering the age of the blog. I do agree that other blogs have grown faster, but I probably haven’t worked too hard at promoting this one. I wish I had promoted it more, but it does seem to be doing ok regardless. Many people will say that Alexa rankings don’t really matter, since they are skewed towards the people who use the alexa toolbar (which I don’t use), but it is a metric that still matters. If it didn’t matter, then no one would check them out and they would be out of business. The fact that people still use them makes them matter.

Technorati Authority - 16 - Rank - 517,455 - Again, not too bad considering how new the blog is. Many of the links coming in are through Entrecard link love, which many people posted, and I’m very grateful for. I hope that I can create a lot more content that you guys will link to, and hopefully comment on. A contest should help things out here too, which would be great!

If you haven’t already….Add to Technorati Favorites

So there it is, that’s how this blog stands about a month in. I’m pretty happy about it, and I hope that you will continue to join me as I try to help all of us gain some more Blog Greens! How have your blogs been doing… anybody seen huge increases in your rankings?

I meant to post this earlier, but I wanted to just give a shout out to Bryan at One Man’s Goal for his return to “the blog that started it all”. As you may or may not know, One Man’s Goal was Bryan’s attempt to make a living online. It was a huge success, generating thousands of incoming links, tons of daily unique visitors, and did very well with sponsorship. Bryan ended up selling One Man’s Goal a little while ago to Austin Long, and began using the money from the sale of the site to help fund his other online endeavors.

I admit, I really liked One Man’s Goal. It was another “make money online” blog, but it was more than that too. It wasn’t like all the other blogs, in my opinion. It was more personal, and made it seem more possible that I could make it online as well. I actually found the theme for this blog through the site that Bryan set up when he sold One Man’s Goal. I followed him over there, but it wasn’t the same. One Man’s Goal wasn’t the same with Austin in charge either. He did a good job, but didn’t post frequently enough for me. It just didn’t feel the same.

That’s why I’m so glad Bryan was able to purchase his old blog back. I’m sure that things will return to normal soon over there, and a ton of the readers there will be happy to see Bryan back. I wish Austin all the best, but I’m sorry, you just weren’t the same.

I do wonder who won their RSS Contest, but I think that’s a moot point now.

Anyway, welcome back Bryan! I look forward to reading all of your tips and your journey towards becoming a huge dotcompreneur.
